Former Knights Darius Wren and Grant Theall have reached that point. At the end of this season, their collegiate days will be over. They’ll have degrees in accounting and special education respectively, but before that can happen, they have to face-off on opposite sides of the line of scrimmage one last time.

On Saturday in San Diego, at her third consecutive Foot Locker Cross Country Championships, the tables turned. Anna Rohrer, a sophomore from Mishawaka, Ind., finished the 5K race in 17:24.8, with Rocha second in 17:29.0.

Rocha keeps Peabody cross-country team on run

Becherer was preparing to defend her 2008 Paralympic gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle sprint just three weeks ago. On Sept. 1, she did just that, in an American record time of 27.46 seconds for the gold medal.
